problem

Turning a documentation index into a useful agent skill requires organized instructions, searchable references, and a clear record of which sources were captured.

approach

Use one deterministic pipeline for the CLI, MCP server, and local web app to generate SKILL.md, references, and source manifests. The hosted viewer supports captured examples, package imports, search, and downloads.

implementation notes

  • Generate skill packages with task entry points, reference navigation, and source provenance without model API calls.
  • Record fetched, linked, skipped, and failed sources so incomplete coverage remains visible.
  • Browse real Stripe, Cloudflare, and TypeSafe examples, with large reference collections loaded as needed.
  • Download packages from the browser; generation from documentation URLs runs through the local app or CLI.
